Small water, long rod, long leader. Lance Egan’s blog at FlyFisherman.com shows why using a long rod on a small stream is a great idea. Lance fished a 10-foot conventional fly rod, but the same principle is what makes tenkara fly rods so effective: “drastically improve presentation by eliminating drag.”
